PRESENTERS
Shak Parron- Partner, Strategic Analytics and Modelling, Deloitte
Shak Parran is a partner in the Omnia AI team at Deloitte with over 20 years of experience. Shak leads Omnia’s sales effort and the Energy and Resources team. Shak is the former leader of Deloitte’s data science team. Prior to joining Deloitte, Shak led the advanced analytics team at a big four consulting firm and founded a successful engineering startup. Shak is a retired Military officer where he served as a company commander and battalion executive officer.
As the leader of the Advanced Analytics team, Shak is recognized as the firms’ leading expert in delivering predictive analytics, optimization, analytics strategy, and artificial intelligence projects across various industries such as transportation, oil and gas, mining, forestry, utilities, life sciences and health care and public sector.
Shak holds a degree in physics from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) and an Executive MBA from the Ivey School of business.
Gordana Maric- Senior Manager, Health and Life Sciences, Deloitte
Gordana is a strategic analytics specialist and leader in life sciences, with 10+ years of multidisciplinary experience working in the life sciences, healthcare, and consumer business sectors. Gordana specializes in guiding and delivering large-scale data-driven, patient-centric transformations, and translating advanced analytics into strategic, actionable insights to help organizations grow through a focus on patient-and customer-centricity. She has advised a variety of players in the health ecosystem on data-driven strategic opportunities and has developed analytics and AI use cases across the health and life sciences value chain to prepare organizations for industry evolution.
Gordana holds a PhD from McGill University in Experimental Medicine where she specialized in precision medicine by developing genomic and proteomic-based approaches to identify and validate therapeutic targets for breast cancer disease management. Gordana also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.
